Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy
Gently process painful memories in a safe, supported way.

Overview
What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR is a gentle, structured therapy that helps you work through painful or overwhelming memories so they feel less distressing. Through guided eye movements or other calming techniques, your mind processes the experience in a new way, helping you feel lighter, safer, and more in control.

What is the Difference Between CBT for Trauma & EMDR Therapy?
CBT for trauma focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful thoughts and behaviours linked to the traumatic experience, helping you develop new coping strategies. EMDR works by directly reprocessing the traumatic memory itself, reducing its emotional impact without needing to talk about it in detail. Both aim to help you feel safer, calmer, and more in control, but they take different paths to get there.

Why choose EMDR to help with Trauma?
EMDR is a collaborative, step-by-step process that moves at your pace. You don’t need to go into detail about your trauma for it to be effective. The goal is to help you feel calmer, lighter, and more in control, using proven techniques to hugely reduce the impact of difficult memories.

Therapy Fees & Availability
Why Therapy is an Investment
Therapy isn’t just about the time spent in the session, it’s an investment in your mental health, emotional resilience, and long-term wellbeing. Each session reflects years of specialist training and clinical experience, as well as the time spent outside of sessions designing a personalised treatment plan for your needs. Many people don’t hesitate when spending money on holidays, gym memberships, or dining out, all of which provide mostly only short-term wellbeing. Therapy offers something deeper: a safe, consistent space to understand yourself, work through what’s holding you back, and build lasting change. This investment in yourself is a valuable commitment to living the balanced, fulfilled life, that you wish you live for many years ahead.
