My BiO
Hi, I am Pritesh. The lead Psychotherapist and founder of London CBT & EMDR Therapy.
I have worked in mental health for over twenty years, starting as a Mental Health Occupational Therapist and progressing to manage an inpatient therapy department. In 2012, I retrained as a CBT Therapist, spending seven years in the NHS before moving into private practice. I’m passionate about helping people overcome common mental health difficulties, drawing on both professional expertise and my own lived experience with anxiety and low mood. My approach blends a range of therapies, including CBT, EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I have supported hundreds of clients, from CEOs and lawyers, to doctors and media professionals. I aim to deeply understand each individual, their unique challenges and goals.

Outside of the therapy room, I am a husband, and father of two wonderful children. In my spare time, I am a passionate football fan, enjoy nature, and love stand-up comedy. A fulfilling creative outlet for me often involves songwriting and singing. All of these varied pursuits very much keep me grounded, and balanced in my everyday life.
Qualifications & Accreditation
- Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – awarded May 2014
- Accredited CBT Therapist (BABCP) – since July 2016
- Certified EMDR Practitioner – training completed May 2021
- Extensive training in Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT)
- Specialist training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Certified to teach Mindfulness for long-term health conditions (both individually and in groups)
- Clinical Supervisor to five other Accredited CBT Therapists
